The Bravern

I love me some designer clothes, purses, accessories, etc but in all reality my income does not allow me to wear all designer, hopefully one day, but not currently. With that said shopping at the Bravern can be classified as difficult as it is filled with Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and many more amazing designers that are just not within my price range. Every time I go there I fall more in love, the atmosphere of the outdoor mall, architecture, there is just something about it that I really love but walking around window shopping is not all that fun, until I discovered that I can actually buy some very exciting items for much less then I would spend anywhere else. First of Neiman Marcus is known for its designer goods but what people don’t understand is that they really should be known for their amazing sales which I swear are happening all of the time. I am not talking about 20 – 35% here I am talking about 75% off items. It is heaven, there are racks of beautiful clothing on sale, I found two sweatshirts that were originally $150 for $30! I was like a little kid in a candy store, now some items are still pricey but when you consider some items started off at $700 and are now $300, then it makes sense and you see what a great deal you are getting. I found a pair of Yves Saint Laurent heels that I have been dreaming about and they were almost 75% off, a true dream come true! One other place that I frequent at the Bravern is John Howie Steak, another place many people avoid because it is a pricey steakhou8se which is very true but what they don’t understand is that they have one of the best happy hours in Bellevue. If you like hamburgers then look no further, they have the most amazing blue cheese hamburger with fries for $8, yes that is correct $8! It is fabulous and in fact it is so large you really should share it with someone, Reed and I can split it and be perfectly satisfied. So for people who have been avoiding the Bravern due to the high prices, they are still there but there are also items that are a great deal!

A Little Bit Country

I have to write about her album Revolution because I am truly obsessed, all of the songs are so much fun and I can not get enough! It is very hard because I discovered this album right before the Christmas music came in to play and since it really is only a month that we get to enjoy Christmas music I have turned off Miranda but right when Christmas is over I can guarantee you she will be turned back on. I was watching the CMA’s when I saw how many times she won and I knew the popular songs that she was winning for but when she one album of the year I decided there must be even more songs I was missing, I was right. Some of my favorites are “Me and Your Cigarettes”, “Airstream Song” and “Heart Like Mine” although they really are all amazing!

Glassy Baby

Shopping for gifts can be frustrating enough as it is but when you are stuck on what to get someone that just makes the process even more difficult and really loose the fun. However I have a great suggestion for those women you are just not sure about, mother in law, sister, mother, etc. They are Glassy Baby candle holders and let me tell you they will love them, they come in a variety of different colors and although they look pretty in the store there is nothing compared to what they look like when they have a candle in them. I myself have a red one and it is so pretty, I absolutely love it. They are a little pricy at $40 a piece but so worth it and the best part is a portion of the proceeds goes to charity so really you are making two people happy, the person receiving the gift and the charity!

Bling Bling

While watching my favorite guilty pleasure The Real Housewives New Jersey Reunion show I noticed that Teresa had on these fabulous sparkly bangles, I could not take my eyes off of them. A few days later I was reading gossip sites when I saw Jessica Simpson wearing something very simpler, large sparkly bangles. They were so much fun and really added something extra to the outfit, I truly could not stop looking at them. The problem was I could not find any information about them on the internet and had a feeling they were not cheap. The past couple of months I have continued to see them on many celebrities and still could not find anything, until my little trip to Los Angeles with my mom where I came across something that matched exactly. Now I am not sure if they were wearing the real ones or the ones I got, I mean Teresa probably the ones I got and Jessica the real ones but that is not the point. For $48 I found them in a variety of colors and they even had them in one size up for $58. I love them so much I bout a clear one and a black one, which my mom did also and we have been wearing them all the time. They really do go with everything, although you may think they look to glitzy they really are not and truly add that little flair every outfit needs. A perfect Christmas gift for that one special person you are stuck on

Rub Down

The other weekend we decided that it was time to try the Herbal Foot Massage place in Kirkland that everyone has been raving about, $25 for a total body massage, even though the treatment we got was only called a foot massage. Reed and I went over and got two chairs right next to each other, they placed a warm cloth over our eyes, adjusted the pillows and placed a towel over us getting us all cozy and then began. They started up top on our face, shoulders, neck, arms and just continued down to our feet. It was pure heaven and just when I thought it was over they said flip over, I was so excited because as I was laying there I was thinking about how nice it would be to have my back massaged as well! After an hour and $35 (they raised the price $10) I was relaxed and felt better than ever. As I walked out of there I could not believe that I just paid $35 for something that would have cost over $100 at a salon. Granted it was not the whole spa experience with bathrobes and soft slippers but for $35 I will defiantly be back!

Silky Smooth

I had heard about this amazing product for your hair called Moroccan oil from my girlfriend Emily, when you get out of the shower you put a little drop in the palm of your hands and then spread it throughout your hair. As luck would have it I was at my hair dressers a while back and they were selling it so I decided to purchase a bottle. I have been using it for a couple of months and she was right it is fabulous, not only does it smell good but it makes your hair look so smooth and gets rid of those pesky fly a way’s. You do really need to be careful that you do not use to much of it because it can make your hair a little greasy looking but other than that I could not be happier with it! This is a perfect Christmas gift for the girl who has everything!
